Is Piedmont Montessori licensed?
Piedmont Montessori is a licensed facility for a maximum of 8 children (No. 013422978). Learning is conducted with an AMI certified instructor through Montessori activities, materials, and philosophy. The children develop a strong secure base and then feel comfortable exploring the regularly changing environment.
What is classroom size? Are hours flexible?
The classroom is designed for four or five students, less than the licensed number, so that the children may have in-depth, personalized instruction, learning prosocial behavior and finding concentration in the peaceful environment. It may be possible to extend time beyond regular school hours through After Care with advanced arrangement and agreement.
Rest, refreshment and outdoor activity?
A consistent rest time is part of the daily routine. Children generally nap in the afternoon at 1 p.m. Please pack your child's lunch and/or snacks with healthy foods he enjoys feeding himself. Also send appropriate outerwear for our daily outdoor activities.
Illness and attendance
Please make certain your child is free of fever for at least 24 hours before sending him to school. If a child is suffering symptoms of cough, sneezing or upset stomach she will need to be cared for at home. A child with fever or symptoms which develop at school will need to be picked up as soon as possible.

We are pleased to have you visit the school. Please use the Contact Us button below to request a tour. Tours may be scheduled on Saturday mornings at 11:30 am or by appointment.
